Overview

What it actually is.

Professional whitening uses a higher concentration of bleaching agent than anything available over the counter, applied under controlled conditions for a uniform, predictable result.

We offer two options: in-office whitening with same-day results, or custom take-home trays you wear for 30–60 minutes a day over 1–2 weeks. Both deliver a real shade change with minimal sensitivity when done correctly.

Professional whitening lifts teeth 4–8 shades — visible enough that family and coworkers will notice.

What to Expect

How the visit goes.

Every patient gets the same unhurried, step-by-step process. No surprises, no fine print — you know what's happening before it happens.

01 Step 01

Pre-whitening cleaning

A professional cleaning removes any surface staining first — so the whitening result is even and longer-lasting.

02 Step 02

Custom trays (take-home) or barrier (in-office)

In-office, we isolate your gums and apply gel to your teeth. Take-home patients receive custom-fit trays and professional gel.

03 Step 03

Whitening

In-office: 3 applications over 60–90 minutes with results that night. Take-home: 30–60 minute sessions over 1–2 weeks.

04 Step 04

Maintenance

Touch-up sessions every 6–12 months keep your shade exactly where you want it. Your trays last for years.

Why It Matters

What you get out of it.

The benefits aren't theoretical. Here's what changes for you in the weeks and months after treatment.

01

Real shade change

Professional whitening typically lifts teeth 4–8 shades — visible enough that family and coworkers will notice.

02

Predictable result

Custom trays mean even contact with every tooth — no streaks, no missed spots, no overdone areas.

03

Manageable sensitivity

We pre-treat sensitive teeth and use gel formulations designed to minimize the post-whitening tenderness common with drugstore products.

04

Long-lasting

Results typically hold for 1–2 years with normal care; touch-up trays extend that indefinitely.

Insurance & Pricing

Questions

The things everyone asks.

What's the difference between in-office and take-home?
In-office: 60–90 minutes, results that day. Take-home: 30–60 minutes a day for 1–2 weeks, slightly lower peak shade but typically more gradual sensitivity.
Will it work on crowns or veneers?
Whitening only affects natural tooth enamel — crowns and veneers do not change shade. If you have visible restorations, we plan the whitening before any future cosmetic work.
Will my teeth be sensitive?
Sensitivity is the most common side effect. We use gels designed to minimize it and recommend a sensitivity toothpaste during treatment — most patients have no issue at all.
