Overview

What it actually is.

A dental implant is an artificial tooth that looks and works like a natural tooth. It can replace lost or broken teeth and helps prevent the deterioration of the jawbone that always follows tooth loss.

At Minty Smiles, we offer single implants, multiple-implant treatments, All-on-4 full-arch restorations, and implant-supported bridges. Our dentists have completed advanced implant training and a master of implants certificate.

A dental implant doesn't just replace a missing tooth — it replaces the root, the crown, and the bone-loss problem.

What to Expect

How the visit goes.

Every patient gets the same unhurried, step-by-step process. No surprises, no fine print — you know what's happening before it happens.

01 Step 01

CBCT scan & plan

A cone-beam CT scan maps your bone in 3D so the implant is placed in the precise ideal position.

02 Step 02

Implant placement

A small titanium post is placed in the jawbone under local anesthesia. IV sedation is available.

03 Step 03

Osseointegration

Over 3–6 months, the titanium fuses with the jawbone — creating the same anchorage a natural root provides.

04 Step 04

Final crown

A custom porcelain crown is attached to the implant. The result looks, feels, and functions like a natural tooth.

Why It Matters

What you get out of it.

The benefits aren't theoretical. Here's what changes for you in the weeks and months after treatment.

01

Most natural feel

Implants are anchored in bone, so they bite, brush, and flex like real teeth — unlike removable options.

02

Preserve the bone

Implants transmit chewing force to the jaw, preventing the bone loss that always follows tooth loss.

03

Decades of life

Successfully placed implants have a 98% success rate (AAID) and routinely last a lifetime.

04

No impact on neighbors

Unlike bridges, implants do not require grinding down adjacent healthy teeth.

Insurance & Pricing

Implants from monthly payments.

Single implants, All-on-4, and implant bridges all come with monthly payment plans through CareCredit. Many insurance plans cover a portion of the procedure. Each implant tier includes the implant, abutment, crown, CBCT scan, post-op visits, and a 5-year clinical guarantee.

Questions

The things everyone asks.

Am I a candidate for implants?
Most adults with adequate jawbone, healthy gums, and reasonable overall health are candidates. Bone grafting can address bone loss in many patients. We confirm candidacy with a CBCT scan at your consultation.
How long does the full process take?
Typically 4–6 months from placement to final crown. Some patients qualify for same-day temporary teeth (immediate-load implants).
What does it cost?
Cost varies with the type of implant (single, All-on-4, or bridge), the need for bone grafting, and whether sedation is used. We offer monthly payment plans and accept dental insurance, which often covers a portion. Single implant tier includes the implant, abutment, crown, CBCT, post-op visits, and a 5-year clinical guarantee.
Is the procedure painful?
Implant placement is done under local anesthesia (with IV sedation available). Most patients describe the recovery as easier than a routine extraction.
