Overview

What it actually is.

Extractions cover everything from a simple removal of a loose or damaged tooth to surgical removal of impacted wisdom teeth. Our dentists handle both routinely.

Patients consistently tell us our wisdom-tooth extractions are easier than they expected — the result of careful technique, modern anesthesia, and unhurried aftercare instructions.

Most patients tell us our extractions are easier than expected — modern technique, careful anesthesia, real aftercare.

What to Expect

How the visit goes.

Every patient gets the same unhurried, step-by-step process. No surprises, no fine print — you know what's happening before it happens.

01 Step 01

Imaging & plan

A targeted X-ray (or panoramic for wisdom teeth) maps the root anatomy and any nearby structures.

02 Step 02

Local anesthesia

We numb the area completely — and offer sedation if you want to be relaxed throughout.

03 Step 03

Gentle removal

Modern instruments and technique mean less pressure, less time in the chair, and a cleaner site.

04 Step 04

Aftercare review

Before you leave, we walk through what to eat, how to manage swelling, and what to watch for.

Why It Matters

What you get out of it.

The benefits aren't theoretical. Here's what changes for you in the weeks and months after treatment.

01

Relief from pain

A badly decayed or fractured tooth often hurts — and continues to hurt — until it is removed.

02

Prevent complications

Impacted wisdom teeth can damage neighboring teeth, cause infections, and crowd the bite.

03

Easier than expected

Most patients describe the recovery as faster and less painful than they had imagined.

04

Plan for what comes next

If you'll need to replace the tooth, we'll discuss implants, bridges, or partials before extraction.

Insurance & Pricing

Most plans cover routine extractions.

Simple extractions are usually covered by dental insurance. Wisdom-tooth surgery may be partially covered. We always verify benefits and quote in writing before treatment begins.

Questions

The things everyone asks.

Does extraction hurt?
The procedure itself is painless with proper local anesthesia. Most patients feel only pressure. Mild soreness over a few days afterward is normal and easily managed.
How long is the recovery?
Simple extractions: a few days. Wisdom teeth: typically 3–7 days for swelling to resolve, with most patients back to normal activities within a week.
Will I need to replace the tooth?
For most permanent teeth other than wisdom teeth, replacement is recommended to prevent shifting. We will discuss options — implant, bridge, or partial — at your consultation.
